Inner Song är en föreställning som rör sig i mötet mellan livemusik och dans. Föreställningen undersöker hur musik påverkar kroppen och hur lyssnandet kan forma våra sätt att vara i världen.
Utgångspunkten är de fyra artisternas olika bakgrunder, de landskap de växte upp i, deras erfarenheter och minnen och hur dessa påverkar deras självbild, relationer och deras livsval. Inner Song ställer frågor om vad som styr våra rörelser, både inifrån och utifrån och hur hur vi söker mening i det vi gör.
Musikens fysiska närvaro, lyssnandets roll som kommunikation, tillstånd av flöde och de mönster vi bär med oss, är de teman som utforskas i föreställningen.
Fyra scenkonstnärer – Emma Augustsson, Helena Franzén, Jure Gostičar och Anette Jellne – möts i ett laborativt arbete där de tillsammans söker efter det som kan kallas en inre sång.
Föreställningen görs med stöd av Kulturrådet och får sin urpremiär på Atalante i Göteborg.

Inner Song is a performance that moves at the intersection of live music and dance. The performance examines how music affects the body and how listening can shape our ways of being in the world.
The starting point is the different backgrounds of the four artists; the landscapes they grew up in, their experiences and memories, and how these affect their self-image, their relationships and life choices. Inner Song asks questions about what guides our movements, both from the inside and outside, and how we seek meaning in what we do.
The physical presence of music, the role of listening as communication, states of flow and the patterns we carry with us are the themes explored in the performance.
Four artists – Emma Augustsson, Helena Franzén, Jure Gostičar and Anette Jellne – come together in a laboratory work where they together search for what can be called an inner song.
The performance is made with support from Kulturrådet and will have its world premiere at Atalante in Gothenburg.
