Hur går vi vidare? Vägsjälar samlar poetiska tankar om förgänglighet och förändring. I gränslandet där skymning och gryning smälter samman växlas genomlevda erfarenheter med framtida drömmar i nyanser av blått. Stundtals absurt, ömsint och humoristiskt.
Föreställningen är en dansteaterhybrid bestående av ett flertal fristående bilder där olika uttryck tillsammans bygger ett verk som kan liknas vid en existentialistisk roadmovie till musik och elektroakustiska soundscapes av tonsättaren Kent Olofsson.
Maria Naidu & Miguel Cortés är båda verksamma dans- och scenkonstnärer sedan över 30 år. Våren 2016 inledde de det fleråriga projektet “Did you get the t-shirt?” där de utforskar frågeställningen i relation till sina liv. Vägsjälar är det första verket i en serie som springer ur projektet.

How do we proceed? Vägsjälar gathers poetic thoughts of transience and change. In the borderland, where dusk and dawn blend together, alternating between lived through experiences and future dreams in shades of blue. At times absurd, tender and humorous.
The performance is a dance-theater hybrid, consisting of several independent images using different forms of expression forming a work that resembles an existentialist road movie, to music and electroacoustic soundscapes by composer Kent Olofsson.
Maria Naidu & Miguel Cortés have been active as performing artists in the field of dance for over 30 years both. In spring of 2016 they launched the multi-year project ”Did you get the t-shirt?” where they explore this issue in relation to their lives. Vägsjälar is the first in a series of works sprung from the project.
