Atalante har alltid varit en hemmascen för västsvenska koreografer och konstnärer. Genom åren har vi gjort olika typer av satsningar på konstnärsresidens för att ge utövare chansen att fokusera på att utveckla sina konstnärskap. Ibland äger dessa rum på vår egen scen, men eftersom den publika föreställningsverksamheten är vårt huvudfokus har vi från och med 2022 börjat med en ny typ av residenssatsning där vi hyr in oss i en extern lokal. Våren 2023 är residenset placerat på Cinnober Teater. 

ASH & GUM 

Scen- och bildkonstnären Lisa Larsdotter Petersson bjuder in dansaren Catherine Magill (AU) till residens. 
Artisterna, båda djupt engagerade i scenkonstformen improvisation, utvecklar solo och duett-format där relationen mellan dans och det talade ordet får fokus. 
Musicerande gäster, bild, text och publik visning är del av processen. ASH & GUM – ett inhemskt och ett australiensiskt träd symboliserar arbetet.

Atalante has always been a home venue for choreographers based in western Sweden. Through the years we’ve created various types of residencies for artists, to give them the opportunity to develop their artistry. Sometimes these residencies take place on our own stage, but since our main focus is public performances we have started a new form of residency where we rent an external space for this type of process-based work. During the spring of 2023 the residency is taking place at Cinnober Teater.

Performance- and visual artist Lisa Larsdotter Petersson invites dancer Catherine Magill (AU) to a residency. 
The artists, deeply committed to Performance Improvisation, develop solo and duet formats where the relationship between dance and spoken word is in focus.  
Musicians, image, text and public showings will be part of the process. ASH & GUM – a native and an Australian tree symbolize the work.
